Paws: A Pet Therapy Workshop

Ever wondered what pet therapy is? Or if your pet could be a therapy animal? Learn about the Impact of Pets on our Mental Health through the webinar on Saturday (6 June) at 4PM IST.
We will cover topics like the impact of pets on our emotions, cognition, behaviours and physical health. Followed by a discussion on which pets can become therapy animals. We will also touch upon the effect of the lockdown on pets and how we can make this period better for them. The session will be led by Ms. Unnati Hunjan.

Ms. Unnati Hunjan has a background in clinical psychology from the Department of Psychology, CHRIST University. She is an animal-assisted therapist and actively pursues research work in the field of neuropsychology. She attempts to combine both by studying the effect of AAI on various aspects of neuropsychological functioning, which is also her focus in Ph.D. She has facilitated various workshops and lectures related to AAI at national and international platforms. Some of her recent presentations were at Miami University and IAHAIO conference in New York. Currently, she is working with and studying therapy dogs, cats and horses, but hopes to incorporate other animals too in the near future. She is also the founder of Therapeutic Paws.
