1 cup drumstick leaves (moringa leaves) 1/2 cup yellow lentils (toor dal) 1 medium-sized onion 2 tomatoes 2 green chillies 1-inch piece of ginger 3 cloves of garlic 1 tablespoon ghee or oil Salt to taste

You need to add the soaked yellow lentils with 2 cups of water, add a pinch of turmeric powder, and cook it through.

Then, heat a tablespoon of ghee or oil and add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, asafoetida, chopped onions, green chillies, grated ginger, and minced garlic. Sauté until the onions and tomatoes are mushy.

Now, add the cleaned drumstick leaves to the pan and add to the mixture. Add salt and mix well until satisfied with consistency and taste.
